    i dont think any mentioned if upgrading to 9.0software will affect an unlockedphone. 2G ??

    So the shift-update thing is gone in 9.1? Has anyone found another route to restore?

    Im not updating to 9. i need the shift update ability too.. im not ready for 3.1 yet or to loosing tethering

    That option is still there and it is completely safe to upgrade to iTunes 9.0.1

    I have not updated to iTunes 9 yet, so ill just update to iTunes 9.0.1 as it does NOT effect jailbroken iPhones 3GS.
