Thanks for posting this link. Downloaded to my OS X desktop, opened iTunes 9.0, option-clicked the "Check for Update" button and navigated to the file, then clicked sync, and... done! MMS now works without restarting my phone or updating from v3.0 to v3.1.

Here is the official signed carrier settings from AT&T with the cellular data settings screen and tethering enabled. Tethering works great on 3.0 and 3.01 but I need someone to verify if it works with 3.1 or not. Good Luck!

The tethering settings do not show up on 3.1 with this file SB, the CDN settings do and it works

Cult of Mac has a simple straightforward hack to enable MMS messaging on your iPhone 3G or 3GS if you just can't wait... or if, like me, you have fun playing around in your phone's guts a little.

Ok i am sort of a noob at this, but it requires a mac computer to do this procedure?? I am on a Vista laptop ad unable to do this ,unless I might be wrong, can someone clear this up for me

I used at&t 5.5 and everything works 100% MMS and Tethering. Im on a 3gs 3.0 also.

Finally got ahold of a competent AT&T rep. She said they've had to remove and re-add messaging plans for many people... Hopefully this will work, and she will not remove my employee discount

no still doenst work, its funny cuz i tell my sister to send me a picture and i hear the sound like im getting a text/picture and then i loose service and it says searching but i dont receieve a picture

i'm having problems with itunes 9 on my vista notebook and 3.0 os on my phone. when i try either shift-update or shift-restore it only gives me the option of updating to apple's 3.1. doesn't seem to want to let me choose a file at all. when i turn networking off it just says i have to connect to the internet for it to work.

i haven't been able to find any solutions.. is there something in the itunes preferences i overlooked to allow me to choose files from my computer instead of having to go through apple?
