i have tried EVERyTHING. and i cant get mms to work on my 3g on 3.1 non jailbroken. medianet tricka and everything. nothing works. ive tried the old carrier settings file, and then now this one. and nothing. any suggestions? aside from wait till the 25th?

Mine started working last night. AT&T must have removed the opt out code for CA customers. 3 other friends also started working

hi all, well i read this whole thing, and imma share my settings, well im on a contract with att and i have 32GB BLK iPhine 3GS, jailbroke with fw 3.0. and my phone started to be able to send out mms like last week. ohh im at the bay area. all i did was switch off 3g or put on airplane mode then wait and then turn it back. then boom i got it to work.

upgraded to 3.1 through apple last night, i thought 3.1 was coming out on the 25th, and still no mms. am i missing something?

What phone do you have? As your FW says 1.1.4 I assume it's a 2G? I don't think MMS will work on the 2G will it?

3.1 came out on 9/9/09 and has nothing to do with thw AT&T MMS update coming out on 25/09/09

You can get ActivateMMS2G from Cydia that activates the MMS feature on the 2G but it has messed up a couple phones...
It doesn't mean it'll activate it on AT&T's end though.

I'm on AT&T, last night MMS wasn't working, this morning it worked. Apparently they turned it on around here early.

^I'm in the Lehigh Valley too and still MMS is not working for me... I have been trying for near two months now and no luck but I have made it work for 3 of my friends and my sister. Just my luck.

Juantwothree are you still on 3.0? Did you do any of the carrier updates?

I'm in Atlanta, and mms got turned on for me I believe today, it just started to work. I had to ssh the AT&T bundle to my phone.

I haven't been able to sync my iPhone w/ itunes v.9, and I can only accredit it to this MMS hack/patch...my phone is recognized in itunes, but when I make any changes like adding music, photos, apps etc. it does a backup and then say's it's 'syncing', but nothing actually syncs! I tested my 1st gen phone w/ 3.0 firmware and it still syncs just fine, so I have come to the conclusion that this MMS crap is the culprit. Anybody else having this same problem or know of a way to reverse/delete this patch??? cheers

Could always try downgrading to an earlier .ipcc file.

Yea, I'm gonna wait and see what happens tomorrow with the official release by ATT..if that doesn't fix it, then I'll downgrade! cheers
