3GS Accessibility Coolness

This video gives a really trick overview of the iPhone 3GS's accessibility functions, and makes a good case for why intuitive multi-touch computing can lead to a revolution in access for people with disabilities.

If you have to use that, you probably shouldn't have an iPhone. Jitterbug cell phones are probably better.

no i think that is really really good, we have this guy who buys stuff from us quite regular and he has to get very verrrrrry close to see things, this would suit him to the ground.

would be a cool feature if used in moderation. Perhaps reading email's or texts to me
Really?

it's not too complicated but the texting aspect of it doesn't seem so great for me. I couldn't get the hand movement correct. Then i forgot how to swipe but it's with 3 fingers. Very interesting accessiblity though.
i just wish apple would make a accessibility that automatically enters text as you speak. Let's say you're driving and you want to pullup the messaging app and create a text for a certain contact. Then, just speak what you have to say and iPhone enters it for you. Speak "send" and it sends the text for you. That would be so siiiiick! If anybody creates this i want to be acknowledged for it.Last edited by hollow0; 09-16-2009 at 08:25 AM.

White on black is the only thing I think is neat. Everything else is annoying.
Zoom, aggravating to navigate.
Voice over, stressful and makes doing anything take wayyy too kong to do, especially typing.
Audio whatever it's called, pointless if you don't type slow. If you type at a decent speed at all, it doesn't help you at all.
Overall, I think the features are worthless and definitely wouldn't mind not having them on my phone.Does this rag smell like chloroform to you?
If I helped you, be sure to press the Thanks! button over there ->
If I didn't, press it anyway.

I'm not visually impaired and while watching this I thought this is way too confusing even for ppl who can see! 3 fingers, 2 fingers, cross ur fingers, double-tapping, swiping, left, right, up, down, in a circle motion..?!?! it's like tango or twister for ur fingers! however, I guess everything has a learning curve and it's great to see that apple is thinking of everyone...well, mostly everyone
