Well, Google Maps app can use GPS right away but waze always says 'No GPS'! Long way to go Waze
Search Google for "Custom Firmware 3.1.2" if you don't have a Mac and are using Windows!

I'm really looking forward to more people getting this. I'm one of two people in my entire city who are apparently using it, but all it needs is some media exposure and it could take off. Look at what happened to Twitter, once they started making it easier than ever to use on a phone.

These guys are releasing versions for pretty much every type of smart phone you can think of. Once the word gets out this could be huge.

And it's free. Hell, I'll use some battery life leaving this on while I'm driving around. I've got a car charger. No biggie for me, if it helps make this more usable in my area. Plus, it's kind of fun knowing that I'm the first Waze user to drive over roads in my area because the app tells me via road munching or whatever they call it. It sounds stupid, but I'm such a child of the video game generation that when I earn points for driving over roads I can't help but be compelled to find new roads and drive them to earn more points. It's like a real life video game, as lame as that might sound, but it's cool in a way.

Waze has now been officially released in the iTunes AppStore as well as the Android market today with a really cool gaming feature called Road Goodie Munching.
