whither the GPS bug?

GPS seemed to get worse when 3.0 came out and seems a bit better on 3.1 but the information provided from the built in receiver is not good.

How? That would be telling.

the GPS bug I have been experiencing has been with the fact that it wont triangulate unless I turn on WiFi

IF I'm outside...it will lock on no problems...sometimes a litte slow...but it locks on to real GPS
if I go inside where it has no real GPS and has to do cell tower triangulation... it usually tells me that my location could not be determined...
but if I turn on my wifi(not connect..just turn it on) then all of the sudden the cell tower triangulation works just fine

anybody have a fix for that?

i rarely get the blue dot on my 3gs anymore
usually just the huge circle
luckily i usually know how to get where im going

not that "Special" - no one even know why that happening, and how to fix it, we all know that it is soft problem, so can it be patched? Common programmers, you can make couple hundreds of sad users to get their blue dots back.

I have lost GPS and WiFi. Actually, both are intermittent. I get a GPS signal more often but WiFi only works about once a week. Some location-based apps do not work at all... like "Speedometer." I've reset settings but seeing as I haven't so much as restores to a fresh firmware, I wasn't ready to take the phone back. That said, I need to hurry. My warranty would already be gone except that I'm within the additional 90 days from swapping in out in early July.
