I had a crackberry, my biggest data month was 386MB. I use 2.1-2.3GB of data monthly on my iPhone.

I said can. It's perfectly capable of using gobs of data, Even more so for the Android. T-Mobile has a 3G 9700 coming there way too. I use 300mb on my iPhone in a good month.. what does that matter, there are others that use more. --Regardless. 3G data not working on T-Mobile has ZERO to do with the network.
And Sprint or Verizon would have a MUCH better time supporting the iPhone.. AT&T is so late to the party, to even suggest that these other two carriers would have the same exact issues is laughable.Last edited by GIRLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL; 09-05-2009 at 02:53 PM.

I love MMi.
Far fewer AT&T haters than anywhere else I go. I love AT&T and think they're doing a great job.
But I still would like to see the iPhone go to Verizon. Then I could get even faster speeds (which I'm already getting between 1,500 and 2,200Kbps) and Verizon's network would suffer from the flood of new subscribers. Then people would realize which network really is the best.Does this rag smell like chloroform to you?

It's about time. This would make iPhone more popular while the service plan may get cheaper.

I for one wouldn't mind having att. The problem I have with them is the price for their service which really pisses me right off.

I think AT&T is great. AT&T facebook was already quoted as saying the unlimited data plan isnt going away. I seriously doubt Verizon will have an unlimited plan seeing is how their new "smartphone" mandatory plans are "$20 a month for 75MB" Which I would burn up in about 3 days.

This dropped call nonsense is definitely extremely over-reported. I recently moved over 1600 miles from my girlfriend and to stay in touch until I return we figured we'd talk on the phone every night. The first couple of nights she would call my house phone from her house phone, a landline on both ends, and we were absolutely plagued by calls being disconnected and whatnot. So I figured what the hell, I'll just talk with my iPhone plugged into my computer so it doesn't die in an hour and lo and behold, not one single dropped call since then. Keep in mind that this has been consistently 3+ hour phone calls every single night for over 2 months now, if that isn't an outstanding and valuable service then I really don't know what is. QQ more about your one in a million dropped calls because I can't understand how you experienced them.

I really hate at&t. I am excited for the day that at&t loses exclusivity. I love the coverage and data speeds but I can not stand the customer service they provide. When it comes to the customers at&t could care less.
If you like what I said....Hit thanks
If you don't like what I said....Hit thanks anyways

Maybe AT&T Could Keep The Rights For A While Longer, but Charge A Small Monthly Fee To Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, etc. To Use The iPhone On Their Networks. Say T-Mobile Gets 1 Million iPhones For $X/Month/Each. AT&T Had To Give Apple A Give Apple A Ton of Money (By Taking In Less From Each Contract) To Get The Deal.

AT&T doesn't own the iPhone. It's not in their power to charge the other cell phone providers.
I always feel sorry for the guy in the iPhone commercials. He always gets a call right in the middle of trying to do something

So far AT&T has not been to bad for me. I get a few drop calls in certain area's in my kennel. There are a couple things I don't like about AT&T is paying for 3G and not being able to use it (you heard this one million times) and MMS which is coming..
However I was really bummed out when AT&T got the iphone because I was with Verizon and loved their data speeds.... and never dropped a call in my kennel or any where with them....
I get so frustrated when I have to use edge you would not believe it. I hardly use the phone for browsing and getting email and what ever else I do on the internet...
As for me... Verizon's customer service was not good with me wiht one thing... and it took me two weeks for them to credit me for what I returned.... I had to argue with them until I was blue in the face!

Most carriers suck on customer service. You just have to pick the lesser of several evils

T-mobile's customer service is great

I don't understand people complaining about calling customer service of any kind. All the cs reps I've ever called were actually really nice & helpful...I always feel sorry for the guy in the iPhone commercials. He always gets a call right in the middle of trying to do something
