Good news everyone! I finally got my MMS working. I called a buddy that lives about 2 blocks away and he let me use his AT&T phone for about 10 minutes. Made a phone call and sent 1 text message then I went to wireless.att.com and changed my iPhone messaging plan to a normal messaging plan, popped my SIM card back into my phone and MMS worked instantly. I feel bad for all my friends tho, I'm now sending them random pictures constantly. Gotta make up for all the lost time!

I had mine working for a few days, but one day when I rebooted my phone, the little camera icon in the messages app just disappeard??? I checked the AT&T Carrier file was still at 5 and it was. I tried to reupload it from iTunes but the icon/button still hasn't returned?? Anyone else have this happen to them? And did you get it fixed?

Does this mean that MMS is just going to suddenly be available, or am I going to have to update my phone (3GS) and re-jailbreak? :/

I would imagine what will happen is they will be releasing the update which will contain a new and updated carrier version, in order to get everyone on the same settings. 5.1+?
So someone will end up extracting the carrier files from this update and will allow us to update our carrier settings without having to update to 3.1
At least that would be my guess. And I hope so
