GPush should be live soon!

It's been over a month since GPush was submitted to the App Store and word has it that it should be available for download within 24 hours. It was actually live for a short time but had server issues and was taken down. The app will be priced at $0.99 for the first week and then up to $1.99 so grab it quick! The app is simple to use... open it up... type in your user name and password and start getting push notifications!

Push for Google calendar and Google Contacts already exists
Sync calendar and Contacts (push)
doesnt work for mail though which is really disappointing.Last edited by Stargaze; 08-08-2009 at 02:14 PM.

For people that want instant access to their email then this is for them. Even though you believe you receive you're email every time you get one, you actually have to wait till the phone checks to see if there is any email.

honestly I don't think its really worth adding another email app/icon to my springboard just so that i don't have to wait as long for my email, and have a popup come on my screen every email i get. I have the PushMod and GriP from Cydia both installed and I have my Mail app check every minute and have notifications pop up every email i get all WITHOUT having another icon cluttering up my springboard.
And what does "Tiverias Apps" say about the usage of the battery it takes for the app to run???Last edited by TheNosyt; 08-08-2009 at 02:47 PM.

If I had the room for this app , I think I would still pass .

i say get something to merge this app right into the mail app (like the youtube downloader) so we dont have to mess with anotherrrr freaking icon. make an option in sbsettings where you can look at all your apps. if you have a hotmail app, gmail app, and yahoomail app (even though that pushes just fine in mail) make it so we're able to have it merge inside Mail so all we have to do is click on the original mail icon to access everything. this just makes it more messy although i'm sure its fine for people with very few icons or people that onlyy use gmail. for now i'll stick with fetch.

Sorry GPush but i agree with the others, pretty useless. I set up my mail app with imap gmail account and to check mail every 15 minutes and works the same for me. I also have notifier from cydia so the lock screen shows me if i have any new messages if anyone is interested.

useless, won't get it.
though I would like push for my gmail account, I sure as hell won't abandon the native mail app and get some additional app and even PAY for it (lol?).
just integrate gmail push into the original mail app, why make an extra app? completly stupid.

Yeah, useless. As above, just set up gmail account on iphone with imap. Notifier too.
I have Push notifications on, and it works quite fast. I tested it by emailing myself (sad, I know) and seeing how long it took. Appeared in gmail account instantly, appeared in Apple mail (linked to gmail) about 10 seconds later and then received a notification on iphone 20 seconds later.
Or use Fetch as above.
Waste of money, seriously. Buy a burrito/bag of chips(UK)/chocolate/beer/give to wino for the same price
