It's a nice app but the plugin is just as good....only difference is multiple downloads and being about to continue using safari...other than that not a big leap from what was already available. To be honest until there is a playback function for these downloads (mp3s, videos etc) having to ssh and re-sync is a PITA!!! Why can't we have an app the puts these downloads in an accessible folder with playback capabilities????

1) Safari is run under the watchful eye of Seatbelt, the kernel's sandboxing extension. It can pretty much only write to ~/Library and /tmp. ~/Media, which would admittedly make more sense, is out.
2) How many browsers that you know of use their download managers to play media? They are more apt to invoke other programs, which is what SDM does.
Desktop-class doesn't mean "Does everything plus the kitchen sink", it means "Like a desktop computer." In some ways, we're still working towards that goal.

If you don't have PSW, well, I have no idea.
If you think it's Safari Download Manager, could you please send me a crash log from Beejive? They're in ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter.
