Purplesn0w is a great app but devtools will always be the most "secure" jailbreak in my opinion. Redsn0w is the mercedes of jailbreaking, where as purplesn0w is more like an Acura. It's nice and will do the trick but ultimately will not hold it's value in the long run.

Whats funnier is that I sit in my BMW and sit comfortably on the real leather seats while the guy in his mercedes is scratching his head asking "why didn't leather come standard in my Mercedes? I didnt know this car was made by Chrysler?"

Too bad that Mercedes is made by Chrysler...which in turn is made sloppy these days. Most Mercedes owners complain their cars spend more time in the shop rather than on the road. So I guess your analogy Does work! Dev product owners spend most their time with their phones in the "shop" as well...

I think purplera1n is a lot better than redsn0w. I like not having to press all of the buttons. Also, I wanted to jailbreak my cousin's iPhone, but no, it's not possible because the power button is broken, so there's no way to do the button combinations.
