I already received a text message with a weird symbol on it once on July 9 at around 4 am. I was about to forward it to my friends but the text message didn't show up in the inbox and there were no records me receiving it. Soon after that event, my mms got disable. Maybe at&t is using the security leak to kill my attempt to get mms enable.

Makes me wonder if the sms vulnerability wasn really a hidden apple feature which a hacker happened to find out able and now apple has to hide and make everything think its removed, but the truth is that it was made to be used for special purposes. maybe at&t is using it via snooper to kill everyone's mms.

From what ive read the attacker needs to send 512 texts only the first one being vissible on the iphone.

But still 512 texts seems like a lot of messing about for the iphone user to just turn his phone of after recieving what 200 300 or even 400 texts.

I know I wont be trying to send 512 texts any day soon. Ive got better things to be doing.

Oh and I'm sure as hell going to turn my iphone of if I get more than 10 texts on the bounce.

Well, it will probably disconnect their access till they send you another SMS with the flaw again. But if you get the text at 3am and your sleeping, the person can have full access till you notice the message.

Maybe AT&T can block the text from coming through, since they seem to be so good at blocking things. Not a help to those unlocked, but its a start
