hey I loved MXTube - but there is a better tool FREE in the app store now. "iWoopie" allows you to search/view/download hq videos from youtube, veoh, and dailymotion. ( I understand more searcable sites are on the way ) -

I found it when looking for ways to pull down some of the MJ tributes last month. Simultaneous batch download and view all in one app. UI tells you when a 'found' video can't be played back on the iPhone and saves you the trouble of d/l.

well thought out app - I would have paid for. They call it iWoopie Lite - so maybe they are cooking up something for $$ that will let you then save off to PC after the fact.

Has anyone ever managed to inject something directly into the music and video database on the iphone?
yup, injecting music into ipod.app is one of the main features of mewseek pro. I remember reading that it was very hard and it did take him months to implement if i remember correctly.

I paid for 3G unrestrictor because it is a very useful utility and pretty much the only option. While YourTube is nice, I'm gonna stick to MxTube. I don't even use the app that much anyway. Paying just to download Youtube videos is a little stupid.

I can't wait to grab it. $2 is a great deal. I mean c'mon, we are talking about $2! I will gladly pay that for something of value. Some of the sentiment here is almost scary.

This is def the way to go tho... i really wish more devs would consider ms addons as appose to stand alone apps.

    TuneWiki for example

The app doesn't freeze, the download does. Try downloading three or more over 3G simultaneously. When it gets to the third one it will never start.

Also, I didn't imply that YourTube had "resume" or could do it better... I said that the resuming in MxTube doesn't always work, hence, it isn't "flawless" like the guys called it. If I can't rely on it to DL a vid when I have a poor signal for streaming (such as in the basement office at work) then it is of very limited use to me at all.

MxTube was nice when it was the only option, but I'd love to be able to get rid of another app on my homescreen.

Why are so many people so damn cheap???!!! I don't get it. The Dev Team and Geohot have been jailbreaking and unlocking our iphones for years now for FREE! We've been downloading so many cool apps through Installer and Cydia over the years for free too. What's the big deal if some of these guys make some money off of what they do? A lot of hard work goes into designing these apps and programs. I think it's awesome that most apps are free but what's wrong with paying a buck or two every once in awhile for a really great app? I think there's nothing wrong with it and I'm looking forward to YourTube being released so I can start using it. Thanks Pumpkin for your time and effort.

SB beat you to it I'm downloading now.

How come neither this nor 3GUnrestrictor actually appear in the 'cydia store'?
He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.

I have used mxtube for a while and I like how it operates and its free. But what is 2 dollars for a intergrated version, I'll buy it. Heck after all the stuff I bought on the app store that was useless, $2 is nothing for something I will definely use.

Been using MXtube since it came out but for two bucks this is a great app. The integration is excellent and the quality of the download is great. Worth two measly bucks for sure... Im amazed by how cheap some people are and unwilling to support devs..
