this is a sick company that drives a young engineer to suicide. the company might as make the public know when whomever stole the proto-iphone return it for in-order Sun's family receive compensation.

I'm really sad to hear about this and many other things that go on in China. Say what you want about America but I think the value of life here is a little higher than this, I think so.

shame on Apple for not taking steps to make sure this kind of stuff doesnt happen. And my heart goes out for Sun and his family.

Well said.. there are only two things to look at here. why are the young people today so weak minded, and not able to function properly under pressure. Also the procedures for Foxconn as a corpration, are they conducted properly.
Stop giving me BS about chinese culture and no human right in china crap.... this has absolutely nothing to do with it. Chinese governent is not even invloved with this mess...
you people are full of crap...

Sad to hear about a death over an iphone.
But maybe a member from Foxconn threw him out the window and they used a suicide story as a cover up. There has to be more to the story.

i agree if a manufacturing company goas against the law and presures a employeee into suicide himself then that doesnt sound like a company to do business with.
besides isnt it as much the companys responsibility as the employers to keep an eye on prototypes at all time.

A very sad story indeed. However, there were some who didn't believe 16 prototypes of an iPhone 12 months before its release. Reasonable, but take a look at this:
I found this around the time the 3GS came out last month. This is the Guided Tour of the iPhone 3GS. In the segment where they showed its faster speed, they opened up The New York Times - Breaking News, World News & Multimedia. The link directly went to the main page on NY Times. On the main page it showed Barack Obama and his wife during the Inauguration Walk. The headlines read "Obama vows Era of Responsibility". It is hard to read, but I got the picture on to MS Paint from the Guided Tour (thx to PrtSc) and saved it to my computer so I could zoom in to the words using Windows Photo Gallery.
My point is that, why would NY Times be putting up headlines shown most likely the day or the day after the Inauguration in June? Of course they wouldn't. I figured at first that the guide was made in January using the 3GS. Then again, wouldn't Apple know that people would notice that? I'm still confused by that.

Don't you love conspiracy theories?
I reckon the a6 phones were 1 fourth Gen, 1 fifth gen, 1 sixth gen etc.
They already have the next 16 years iPhones!!!!He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.
