In Cydia its BETA. Does not work for me. Installed it and it "reads" bar codes, but it does not recognize it as a valid one nor can it pair it with its product. LAME-O

urgh, i hate bigbosses repo. All it keeps throwing me is the size mismatch error. I'd love to try this app but i have no idea how to solve this problem i have with their repo. Any help would be great though.

This app works good! The only problem with a 3G or a 2G would be the auto focus... It does an software autofocus... But its not as easy as using this on a 3Gs..
So far it has had every bar code I can scan.. It may not find it for sale, but it knows what it is.. I tried my IPhone boxes.. 3G and 2G and the 3Gs... As well as many other random items.. Like the Sim's, LCD covers, my INcase bag, tooth paste, food items.. I give this a Thumbs up!! It may not be perfect on our older stuff, but the newer... 100%
4.5 star's.. could have more options, like local find..New unibody Macbook Pro, the jacked Model.. Iphone 2G, and 3G, 3G's, And 4G.

very nice app and it works, although on a lot of the results I received, I've never heard of the places they were referring too.

Ok, someone help me pls let me know what I am doing wrong. I just downloaded this and of course went through my kitchen to play and see how it worked. I scanned 6 products, none of which the app was able to find. AND, I scanned a box of granola bars 3 different times. It came up with different numbers each time and kept telling me no matching products found.
The other items I scanned were Milk Bone dog biscuits, Hershey's chocolate bag and even a bottle of dog vitamins that I KNOW should have come up because I bought them from Amazon.com! lol
I am holding the phone still until it beeps and trying to align the upc code as best as I can. Anyone have any ideas on why it wouldnt be working for me? And/or why it keeps giving me different numbers everytime I scan the same item??
Edit: Ok, I was FINALLY able to get one product found. Its still weird that the rest of the products keep coming up with different numbers each time though. However, that being said, it seems like a cool app, but its really hard to get just the perfect angle and hold it perfectly still until it beeps. I agree that it needs auto focus or something. If you are in a store, you are usually holding an item with one hand and the phone with the other. It makes it extremely difficult to properly get a good image.
Oh, and a setting to get rid of the beep would be nice lol I know its supposed to let you know that its done, but if I'm in a store price matching things, I am usually trying to do it covertly and dont want everyone else around, or store employees to know!Last edited by WannaApple?; 07-20-2009 at 09:07 PM.

well i got the one that's in the appstore. Looks nice, but doesn't work at all. Each and every live pic is translated into a completely different set of numbers. Same goes for the phototaking part. None of it's conversions actually work and any number entered manually results in a product not found.

Are you sure? On their website it links right to the app store.

I talked to the developer last night and he said that they submitted the version that is on cydia right now to apple but it hasn't been approved yet. If you want the version that works correctly download from cydia
