"3G Unrestrictor" is an iPhone application (for iPhone3G & the NEW 3GS!!!) which allows you to go around the iPhone's limitations while on 3G/EDGE. It allows those things by tricking applications into believing they are on WiFi, even though they are on 3G or EDGE. 3G Unrestrictor is the premium successor of the popular VoIPover3G app for the iPhone.

Watch TV with SlingPlayer
Watch high quality YouTube Videos, just like on WiFi

wow dude apparently this was supposed to be released yesterday (july 16th) but there has been some delay due to mobile substrate issues or something. can't wait for this man with processing power of 3gs and the speed, sling is going to be lovely.

Nothings is free after there is a big demand for it. There's a market for this, just look at how many people through out multiple websites are asking for this. Voip apps are pretty much useless without this.

Voip 3G will be released at some point too but no high speed iTunes and Youtube over 3g and you will have to edit file via ssh to gain access to additional functions. Also no support from Crashx on the product. It's worth the $2 for the complete app not to mention the great work being done by Crashx getting us a very useful tool.

Well you are correct in your thoughts. The now older 3G with firmware up to 3.0 will work with the previously released FREE voipover3G and Tricker3G.

However, the Newer 3GS,, unlike the 3G,,will not work with ANY of these programs. I have both the 3G and 3GS, and only my older 3G will work with those two great FREE programs.

So those that have the 3GS have been stuck out waiting on a new app. So if you are using the older model 3G, you can continue to use the free and already existing Cydia software.

This new software is mainly good for 2 points. One, it now allows 3GS owners to take advantage of this Wifi over 3G function. So now 3GS owners can have there sling away from hotspots. Two, it has a more advanced interface that gives you an "add a program" feature through this interface. So you wont have to SSH and figure out the written line codes to enter in as with voipover3G. And with Tricker3G, you could not add anything, as it is preconfigured with only certain programs. So with this NEW software, you can select "add program" and choose which app you wanna have this wifi-3G mod apply to.

Last point, developers will move on and forward. The Dev for the Tricker3G removed the app from Cydia I believe, so even if you have a 3G, you cant get the free Tricker3G software anymore. At least this is what I believe is the case for Tricker3G. Voipover3G is still available on Cydia, but it may also disappear. So the good times may be coming to an end and you might have to give up that $2.00 usd..lol. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
