Purplesn0w RC2 Released

Via Geohot blog:
* 3G(the network speed) issues fixed
* Now only patches one file, CommCenter
* Leaves no traces on your baseband after it runs. Seriously
* Much more clean and reliable.
Be sure to have legit activated 3GS
Disable 3G if you don't have it(like T-Mobile).
Add apt.geohot.com to Cydia
Install(or Update) com.geohot.purplesn0w
Watch for success output in Cydia(actually do this step)
Wait for signal, and enjoy your unlocked iPhone(no reboot required)
With regards to devs comment that I use tons of ram, that was all RC1. This one uses 0, yes ZERO, bytes of ram after it is installed. But I'm happy you guys came around to my way of unlocking :-) And not just one of my ideas. You took them both.
This unlock is for the 3G[S] only.

uses 0 bytes on baseband now instead of 1MB and doesn't corrupt memory

I've enjoyed reading on twitter these guys battling back and forth (geohot & dev-team). Dev-Team's last blog post was the worst..it's made me laugh. It seems like geohot is good will hunting, and dev-team is the pissed off teacher that wishes they could do half the stuff geohot does. They are good, but they are constantly behind geohot. Geohot just picked this up again the past month, and has already improved dev-teams product due to it.

hehe... I don't take sides... Neither for the Dev. Team. nor Geohot. Only thing that matters to me, the "product" that turns out the best and does everything it's suppose to. Consumer choice baby...
Don't live by other people's rules... Live by your OWN!!!
Why settle for less if you can have sooo much more!!!

hey has anyone compared purplesn0w rc2 and ultrasnow .9?
I would do the comparing if i had a att card... unfortunately my phone is hactivated...
I'm just curious if 0 bytes really makes a difference compared to 152 bytes...
if anyone has tried both, please put in your 2 cents... thanks

Swapping Ultrasn0w for Purplesnow
Hi,
Well Done for another great release into the community. All your hard work is greatly appreciated!!!
I have installed Purplera1n and Ultrasn0w. Do i have to turn off 3g, uninstall ultrasn0w and reinstall purplesnow or can i just download and install? will i have to uninstall ultrasn0w at all?
Many Thanks in Advance
