i wasn't sure about purplerain at first, but couldn't wait for the dev team. i gotta say, i appreciate the dev team, i really do, but damn purplerain is so f-ing easy. anyone could stumble using redsnow, quickpwn, or pwnagetool, but a monkey could jailbreak with purplerain and it is working perfect. competition is sweet.

This app crashes on me everytime I try to open it. I'm sticking with Purplera1n for now, had no problems with it and I was done in less than 2 minutes.

ok, i was having some problems with redsn0w mac. cydia wasn't showing up like some of you have said. this is because it didn't fully install the jailbreak. you see the commands run through the phone and then it shuts off. it isn't supposed to happen this way. you should see the pineapple after that.
i ran redsn0w windows on another computer and it worked the first try. there must be a bug somewhere on the mac version on certain macs.
i'm running the new july 2009 unibody 13" macbook pro on 10.5.7 and redsn0w doesn't work.

i like purplera1n better, but the only thing that's missing from it is hacktivation so you would have to get an att sim to activate first.

Also stuck on "Waiting to reboot"
I tried running the jailbreak, and also got stuck on the "waiting to reboot" screen.
I left it for a good 15-20 minutes and it did not move.
Any suggestions???

Wow purplera1n has got to be one of the easiest jailbreaks for a very long time like when iLiberty was out for the original iPhone.
