It works great....

Now, if I can get video ringtones working I will be 100% set with the 3GS.

Holding the home and power buttons to reboot after it was stuck on reboot didn't fix it for me. Had to restore.

I stumbled across the Mobile Substrate update this morning, and I figured maybe this was the Winterboard fix...and it worked...even the Buuf2 theme downloaded the first time, fast!

Once you install SteffWiz/Pwncentre you get yet another source to install called "all sources" - install that, do another reboot of Cydia and Agua will be in there.

i restored it and instead of using purplerain i used redsn0w. and then installed wb and substrates and it got locked up again. will not boot up.

Strange. I updated MobileSubstrate, then installed Winterboard. Phone restarted in safe mode and I went to uninstall WinterBoard and it told me updates were available.

Downloaded them and reloaded the springboard and bam, everything works again.

BTW - What is the theme in the OP w/ the sad box. That's freakin awesome.

vWallpaper doesn't work...
SMS themes don't work... (where is the sms-background.png file we can change manually?)
Keyboard themes don't work...
Dialer themes, battery themes, and dialer themes DO work.

Im installing winterboard now and will post any updates or any other problems(I hope not).
Installed winterboard and winterboard settings and payow it works, thank you so much!!!!!!!

3gs jailbroken with purplerain rc2. installed updated mobile substrate then updated winterboard. phone can't get start springboard now....i power it up and i see the apple logo then it just shuts down automatically. anyone else have a similar problem?

Thanks for the update! You'd think we would have gotten more info about the releases limitations, and why they were there.
