Now that I jailbreaked and unlocked my 3gs with 3g turned off the whole time can I now turn it back on and use tmobile's 3g network?

If you have wi-fi issues:

Try going into settings and reset your network settings.

I have seen success with this.

No, you cannot use 3g

My cyberduck works just fine. And you can use cydetele to delete freeze.

Ahhh, that sucks. Oh well, at least it's working now.

Since we can't use winterboard, does anyone know of any other Cydia apps that will let us change the look of our phone? Thanks for any help.

There is Supreme Preferences, but you need to donate to get it.

Thats fine. I can donate. Is Supreme Preferences in Cydia and is it working with Purplera1n's jailbreak?

I was having the same problems. I simply re-did the entire process and I just did not install those two apps specifically.

I too can confirm that Open SSH, and 5 Icon Dock is working perfectly. I tried to install iRealSMS but I had problems, anyone else?

Never had this problem before. Still cant SSH into phone. Have OpenSSH installed, I'm usnig cyberduck on mac......no clue here

No idea if it works with 3GS etc etc, but all I know is you have to donate to get beta access to SP 3.0, or you could wait.

Just used it to jailbreak my iPhone 3GS, everything is working beautifully. Now I just have to add all my custom files. Also, I noticed that in iTunes, after I jailbroke, the section that used to be dedicated to Apps is now listed as "Other."
EDIT: Nevermind that, iTunes sorted everything out after I synced.

For those who only jailbreaked and did NOT unlock, do you notice the phone going noticeably slower on boot up or otherwise?

I am still attached to the Death Star, but I don't want to buy the 3G S to jailbreak it and have it be super slow (which would negate the "S" of the iphone 3G S of course).

The exact opposite. I think the phone is Faster in a lot of areas. For instance, when ever you do a soft reboot (respring) it takes like 2-4 seconds to respring. I just upgraded from a 2G so I may have a biased opinion when compared to a 3G.
