wtf is the purpose of the jailbreak if you cant use winterboard like real talk!!!!!!!!

beside the unlocking and im not hating should have just released it all one working project

i must admit that was one fast jailbreak

Awesome. I tried RC1 on my pc running XP SP3 and it gave me an error. Tried RC2 on my friends 64 bit XP pc and it "successfully completed" but even after multiple jailbreaks and reboots, I didn't have Freeze on my phone.

After one attempt on my MacBook (which, btw, took less than 2 minutes compared to around 20 on my friend's pc), I had Freeze.

Try this. Saw this from other site and was maXimus who gave the answer. I'm just passing along to try to help.

1. Put phone in Airplane Mode
2. Manually enable Wi-Fi (while still in Airplane Mode)
3. After Wi-Fi connects, restart the phone in Airplane Mode
4. When phone restarts, wait for Wi-Fi to connect, then turn off Airplane Mode
5. Test the phone

sigh...im getting "freeze was not installed by cydia..." so it cant be deleted...

wasted my time installing netatalk thinking i could remove it that way...guess it's back to open ssh

Edit...nevermind figured it out in settings

Amazing...work with no problem whatsoever. However, On my first attempt installing ultrasn0w, signal on T-mobile kept dropping in and out. I dont think this is an issue with purplera1n but the same issue some had before with ultrasn0w. I am restoring and jailbreaking again now...Has anyone tried manually theming via ssh? I will try after restoring..

You should use redsnow to jailbreak and ultrasn0w to unlock if needed.

Talking about the known issue of installing tricker3g or voipover3g so you can use SKYPE or slingbox over 3g (not WiFi). Once these apps are installed via cydia, your appstore/skype will crash.

Thats strange. In Cydia under changelog it says its updated for 3.0. Hopefully it gets fixed. I love that app.

Also, I wanted to list what apps I have installed and working.

I didn't realize Five Icon Dock worked... thanks for posting about that!

I am very excited that BiteSMS works on the 3GS. There are a couple of features that don't seem to work quite right yet (like swiping messages and the character count), but it works well overall.

I was able to get in. Are you on a Mac? Dont forget to terminal in and type:
rm /Users/YOURUSERNAME/.ssh/known_hosts
to reset your SSH

I followed MAC method. Installed Cydia through freeze. Phone works perfect. But any application I installed from Cydia is not woking. But cracked apps with are synced though itunes works perfect after installation of appsync 3.o from cydia.

But still apps installed from Cydia are not working. Apps like snapture,Cycorder etc..

Do you guys have any idea?
