Worked like a charm! (Kinda) on my Vista Ultimate SP1 x86 Machine. A trick I had to do was once it ran the first time it got stuck in recovery mode and did nothing so I actually let that instance of PR running and reran the program while in recovery mode and it worked like a charm!

It's a welcome tool for us with programming experience. Maybe it's not the best for end-users / script kiddies.

Worked fine here. Had to click purplrra1n.exe a second time because it was stuck in restore mode. Installed Cydia with no issues as well.

Windows Vista SP2

Does this restore your iphone, or does it keep all your contact, messages, music, etc. on the iphone?

Hi.
I keep getting an error when using my mac trying to SSH to 3gs
dyld: code signature failed for /usr/lib/libreadline.6.0.dylib with errno=1
dyld: code signature failed for /usr/lib/libhistory.6.0.dylib with errno=1
dyld: code signature failed for /usr/lib/libncurses.5.dylib with errno=1
Can anyone please help?

HOLY CRAP!
The 3GS runs emulators better than the systems themselves! I'm so ******* stoked about this. GEOHOT is the ****!

make sure you have "iTunesMobileDevice.dll" at path: "C
Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin"
next, put purplera1n.exe in a file with the ra1nyday file you got earlier this week.
run purplera1n.exe
it should roll through everything. Mine did the USB cord to cd with music note thing but then jumped through to the purplera1n image.
if it gets stuck in recovery mode again, use quickpwn.
hopefully this helps.
That being said, I got a few PM's saying you DONT need the ra1nyday file. Personally mine worked the second I put the ra1nyday file in the same folder as purplera1n.exe... so I'm thinking it needed it there. Also, make sure your phone is plugged into the BACK of the computer and NOT the front. purplera1n CAN NOT send commands threw the front USB plugs

WOW. This is the simplest jailbreak ever. It worked on the first in less than 30 seconds. If they can make it better so that it works for all others this will be the prefered jailbreak forever. Cydia works incredibly fast on the 3gs. GOOOOOOOOO GEOOOOOOOOHOTTTTTT.
