I tried doing this and my phone won't go out of recovery mode now. It did this last night, but I got it out of restore mode. Now it stays in restore mode and whenever I run purplera1n it shows the image but never goes further than that. Guess I'll have to restore once I get off work.. Bummer.

props to purplera1n for getting this out and releasing it.
But I am going to be patient and wait for less buggy Dev Team, dont have the time right now to be spending on getting a complete installation and making sure everything is working.
looking forward to 3.0.1 =]Previous Phone: AT&T Tilt

yeah..i have no doubt that geohot is awesome....but this was WAY too buggy for me..i was up until 4am restoring my phone.. it kept freezing up. it wouldnt ring for incoming calls...and when i would check my phone.. it would be like "slide to answer"...id slide it...and then it would go to the spring board...WAY too buggy for me. i enjoy my incoming calls.
im going to wait for a new jailbreak...maybe by then.. more apps will be compatible..primarily winterboard.if i can burn crosses..i can dance to anything.

does anybody know if the hackulo apps work with 3gs?

I don't understand why everyone says this is buggy? The only thing that really doesn't work is Winterboard, and I'm sure that will be fixed here in a few days. Geohot already fixed the Win7 capabilities and fixed a some kernel issues. Give him time. He gave us what we wanted, and he gave it to us fast. Look back to the first days of jail breaking when there wasn't a nice GUI and you had to do everything manually. Then, if you messed it up, it was all over with.
The Dev-team is awesome, they come out with some really nice stuff, but they screwed us. Pretty much told everyone who went out and bought the 3GS on release day, and up to now, that we had to wait, cause "The needs of the many out weight the needs of the few." This isn't AIDS we're dealing with here, it's an iPhone jailbreak.
Thank you Geohot for growing a pair and releasing it.

How did you uninstall Freeze with cyDelete? I installed cyDelete, it works fine on other Cydia apps, but when I try to delete Freeze with it, I am getting a message that it was not installed with Cydia and can not be removed.

So obviously it worked for you. It is NOT working for some people and we don;t really know why. I have tried all of the tricks that people are saying have worked to no avail. I have even let it sit at the restore screen for 30+ minutes and nothing. Bugs are not always noticed by everyone. Obviously you were one of those who had no issues. AWESOME! That does not mean that this thing isn't buggy, though.

I once prayed to God for an iPhone, but quickly found out He didn't work that way...so I stole an iPhone and prayed for His forgiveness.
