Same for me, no go on Win7 RC x64 or Virtual XP Mode.

I really didnt want to install itunes on my parallels virtual machine as i have it running on an SSD with limited space and like to keep it as trimmed as possible, but i just did it and it does work

So, I've been in "done, wait for reboot" for a while now... Not sure if it's going to work. On XP SP2(?).

Try just killing that app window (with upper right x) and restart and do it again. That worked for me on XP.

Oh yeah, and make sure iTunes is NOT running at the time.

Guys, quit complaining about apps not working with the 3GS. it's a whole new device. Now the developers have root access they can update their apps so they are 3GS compatible. At the moment, if an apps compatible i guess its complete luck.

i acutally like this.. i didnt start JB till 3g came out so for me was so easy... then come too 3gs... lots of little tricks too get stuff working

On another NOTE

GPSPHONE (game boy advance for iphone) work Better then the 3G but some intense games like Final Fantasy VI works ok but you hear issues in the sounds and music once in a while. but playable.

SNES4IPHONE (Snes for the iphone) WORKS FREAKING AWESOME.... OMG WAY BETTER then 3g lol and no issues with any of the games that had issues with 3g lol... IT ROCKS

playing FFVI on it right now

with sound and no issues

Ye, i remember i spent a good 2/3 hours hex editing (which ive never done before and never done since) just to get custom ringtones. lol

And the slow cydia download is a mix between your rubbish internet/wireless data speed and the strain on geohots server from a large number of people worldwide downloading cydia.

I just got it downloaded in a couple of minutes. Now to test some apps ...

YEs I just did it !!

it works just fine

I am going to Apple store to try and return my phone because of the horrible battery life and yes, I did all of the fixes and it didnt work.

ya took 30 seconds too download and install cydia for me on wifi. what i did is after JB i shut down Iphone then restarted it. then i went too freeze and installed cydia, then shut it down again and restarted iphone and everything works great

I had an issue but was due to installing status notifier, but like Jag said, let it boot in safemode & uninstall winterboard, then reboot. Now you shouldn't have any issues.

Part two.... Everything was going just fine till I rebooted the devices a few hours later. I am no longer able to load the appstore nor itunes. Anybody else have any issues with them at all?

OMG my 3gs is "mine" now!! Cydia whicked fast, had to find a way but put all my apps back on, and loving the speed. For those that said no big difference from 3g.... boy where you wrong. Glad I sold the 3g and picked up the s.

5 doc and 5 springboard working without issue.
