hi guys done the jailbreak & installed cydia, what do i need to do to unlock it?

have you guys installed cydia and ultra snow using geo jail break let me know how it works,i got my 3gs here and might give it a shot but then again the dev teams seems to be working on theres quick so who knows might just wait

you forgot the last step. wait more then 10 minutes... mine said wait for rebooting and waited more then 10 mins for it too work... so no joke when they said too wait for it too rain lol.

64-bit works with PURPLERAIN. 64-bit has a built in 32-built emulator for programs. No worries man!

Well, except from the ones like me (and many others) who keep a virtualized stinky copy of XP on their MacBooks.

nope, doesn't work on x64...geohot twittered me telling me that....i did it via vmware...just waiting for the reboot...

did NOT work on my vista 64,
whenever hit make it ra1n, its automatically shows up a message said that purplera1n has stopped working
im freaking frustrated now, and i have to go to work in 15 mins

any thought??

So far it doesn't look like Winterboard works with 3GS. Not sure why that would really matter. Might be the method of jailbreaking?. After I install winterboard it never reboots outside of Safe Mode. Have to uninstall before it will reboot normally. Same goes with qtweeter. Only reboots/resprings into safe mode.

But. 5 dock, biteSMS, SBsettings all work fine! How Ive missed them

Right click the file, go to properties, and check off compatibility mode for XP.

Anyone know how we can activate our 3gs with out a atnt sim card because the jail broke goes through but the phone is not activated =/

im on tmobile tho

i thought the jb would activate also

Good job to Geohot for releasing a BETA jailbreak for 3GS, too bad it doesnot yet work with Win 7 64bit

Some bugs still need to be worked out though.

Uhmm, try a virtual PC if you know how to. Maybe at your work, they have a computer with XP?
