I would re-check that join date before you use the term n00b to mask being a simple jackass. The only thing you caught was heat for being called out on your stupidity and arrogance . Maybe you should go fishing for real, and take the prepubescant act with ya. You're exactly the type of person I was refering too earlier. Thanks for validating my statement. Have a great night and add more useless posts after this.

File Sizes

I have used iClarified's steps and the files almost immediately appeared in the folder I set up when i hit restore in DFU Mode.

My question is that the iBEC file has a "Zero" file size. Is the size supposed to be "Zero"?

iBEC.n88ap.RELEASE.dfu (Zero KB)
iBSS.n88ap.RELEASE.dfu (104 KB)

EDIT:
I did another restore in DFU Mode and this time the files are now at 104 KB each. Don't know what happened the first time...

whats irritating is how all of a sudden the forum got so big in the past year from all these impatient people. i have been following the forum before i even registered and all my questions were asked after doing a bit of reading. i still have questions about stuff but i dont usually post. i dont know everything by any means. but i just read as much as possible. usually that helps when people read. yes it can be frustrating to come into the middle of a topic that has a whole lot of pages! but all it does is fill up more useless crap for us to read through when people start typing away! and now there is hundreds of users that just join to ask some question that was already answered, and never post again. which there is nothing wrong with posting a question, just aslong as its not posted time and time again.

quick question, after the dfu mode, grab the files, restore from backup....are your applications on the springboard in the same order before the dfu restore?

i 3rd that... one thing i dont understand is... the dev teams and sweating the butts off to make a jb for everyone and not charging anyone... if they wanted to they could charge you or better yet they dont even have to bother making it... and the end you'll be stuck....

so stop all you stupid whinning and crying about the devs to hurry up. and for the guys who want proof for the jb get a life and wait.

the dev team are doing their best to keep you all happy just appreciate it and wait till they release it... if your so keep on having a jb phone revert back to a 3G and if your keep on waiting keep at it guys!

respect to all that deserve it!!!

i agree...as much as id love a jailbreak now, slow and steady wins the race. im sure a 3gs jailbreak/unlock wont take 6 months but at the same time i know that it would not take 6 days either. if i put in a heavy financial investment on my 3gs, i want to make sure the software i run on it is reliable and not rushed/half-assed. I will refuse to put in rushed code...

Dev Team, keep up the solid work. Your tested code has made many people happy and i'm sure you wont disappoint us this time...i'll be eagerly waiting for your polished product whenever it comes out (hopefully soon hehe)

Worked like a charm. The Auto Grabber in DFU mode grabbed both files on Windows 7 the very first time.

Haha how very cock sure of you sir, when you have finished flaming me can you release the jailbreak for the 3GS almighty one?

My previous post was to diffuse your anger in a not so "i was joking about the iPod Touch to see what kind of a reaction i would get" kind of way. Congratulations on having absolutely no common sense and realising this.

This isnt something i really care about and i dont feel the need to defend myself against you now, so please dont reply even if you dont understand this.

On the topic at hand, we now have a video from the Dev Team of an ultrasn0wed 3GS.

So I have done the rain dump and got the file from that... but I dont see a iBSS file there. Should I?? I have also done both restores in dfu and out of dfu. Both times I got the iBEC file. Do I need to do it one more time with the method above to get the iBSS??

So, you were able to determine my emotional state based on the text I typed, yet couldn't spell "realizing"? Interesting. English a second language, or are you an illiterate psychologist?

You're right. You didn't care so much you took the time to reply, and, point out how much you "didn't" care, since non caring people just reply for shits and giggles.

Oh, and I replied not only to make you look foolish again, but because this time I could actually understand you're gibberish, so it was easier to mock you. Simple is not only a word, but a name most people would use to address you in person I bet. So, does this give you a headache after you read it? Nose bleed maybe? Take a deep breath. You've only been owned on a forum. It only stings for a little.
