It just sticks on the pass 2 starting

Looks like this method isn't going to work for me.

WOW that was by far the easiest, fastest, smoothest jailbreak/unlock EVER!

It's come a long ways since the 1.0.2 days...

Okay so this will work for me even though i have don't really have a "legit" AT&T plan? When I got my iphone i put in the prepaid SIM and jailbroke and activated (didn't have to unlock), so it should work this time right?

Also so there is no way yet to back up the apps so you don't have to reinsntall all of them over?

Sorry.

Until a 1.1.3 or a 1.1.4 fully patched method comes out these methods are useless as you end up adding patches for features.

Seeing as Dev team as the new method which in dead they can add all the pathces required to make new firmare work 100% I will pass till they release

wow... firmware hasn't been released yet to the public, hasn't been properly jailbroken either. Odds are that you won't be able to upgrade until July so why ask this question now?

Even if you have a legit AT&T plan it would still work. There is no harm in unlocking the phone other than voiding warranty (still can be revirginized if needed). So, yes it will work.

Okay, I still have version 1.12 Jailbroken 3.9 BL as a legit AT&T customer. If I restore to 1.14 and do the iPlus thingy will iPhone PC Suite work? I just wanna be able to upload custom sounds and themes to my phone. That and will I be able to downgrade my if anything goes wrong or I don't like 1.14 for some reason. Oh yeah, what apps from installer or cydia works on the 1.14 fireware?

I've been using iplus for a week now and have not had to add any patches nor has anyone Ive seen in forums having used iplus successfully

If you have an AT&T SIM you don't need to unlock.
Run iplus and forget about "-u" option.

Your phone will be jailbroken and activated.
Baseband and bootloader will be untouched.

If you are a legit AT&T customer, iPlus may not be the best choice for you.

You don't need unlock and activation. If you don't use "-u" option iPlus will not unlock the phone but it still would activate and you don't need that.

You could erase the "payload.zip" file and in that case iPlus will just jailbreak your phone but erasing payload.zip you would not get Installer.app and SSH.

You could modifiy the payload.zip file but you MUST be very carefull.

i used this and i didn't do anything, i fallowed the guide and it took me to the last screen with the red at the top, and it said iphone will now reboot and it like froze in that state for like 5 minutes, i didn't read anything in the guide saying it would take that long, so turned my phone off then back on. i was just trying to jailbreak. i doesn't seem to be anything wrong with my phone, but WTF nothing happened no jailbreak, no accidental unlock, nothing. any help

I'm trying to unlock my iphone by using iPlus with guide from "Hack that Phone". Is it better to overwrite the payload.zip with international payload even though you are a U.S. user? in case you travel overseas in the future and get a local SIM card there?

Hey, ianzerotwo,

I figured it out (for me, at least).

Did you download the iplus2.0_JB file? If so, then THAT one doesn't install the installer, terminal or anything else.

You need the regular iPlus2.0b file that has the payload in it (it's the one used for jailbreak/activate/unlocking. Just use ' -j ' if all you want to do is jailbreak and get installer, etc.

Now that I've got it to work, this method saves A LOT of time
