iPhone SDK 3.1 Availaable

I've been using 3.1 for a bit now and still can not figure out or see any changes. What's the deal?

without a 3Gs i think the only thing you'll notice is the clip/paste of phone #s. try the bluetooth controls, those seem to be working too.

it would be nice if there was an option to text a phone number rather than calling when you tap a number in a web page.

Here's what I've found updating to 3.1.

iPod Next/Prev track buttons on bluetooth headsets/stereos are not working.
MMS was working on 3.0, not working on 3.1
Service is fading in and out, will have full service then go to 'searching'
Messages APP seems to load slightly faster, not fast enough to upgrade.
42 second start up time on the iPhone 3G.

I would hold off before updating, I'm working on going back to 3.0 j/b now.

If I added you to my DEV list, there is a good chance you are no longer there so do not try it expecting it to activate your phone.

edit:

I did a DFU Mode restore, the phone is much quicker than j/b 3.0. When entering a name of SMS it comes up MUCH quicker and MMS is restored.

Start-up time now 27 seconds and applications seems to load much faster all around.

Have they updated the AVRCP Bluetooth profile to let you advance songs using your bluetooth headset?

I am waiting for this. I bought HBH-IS800 headset and I can't control the volume using iphone and headset doesn't has any controls like S9. The volume stays maximum. I hope 3.1 fixes this. Can anybody confirm?

Nope, still doesn't work. I'm about to just go buy a Blackberry today.

Im also on 3.1 working fine and activated but i tried to DFU and go back to 3.0 and it gives a message saying basically hell no. Either my phone was not correctly in DFU or apple wont be letting you go back to 3.0 period once you update.

Heres whats new
* Non-destructive video editing means trimming a clip no longer saves over the original video but gives you the option to “Save as copy…”
* Voice Control now works over Bluetooth
* iPhone vibrates when moving icons
* Updated AT&T profile to 4.2(MMS??)
* Updated modem firmware to 5.08.01

Hmmm. My icons don't vibrate when moved. I have 3gs v. 3.0 (7A341). Did I actually upgrade? Thanks!

You're still on 3.0 you need to shift restore to apply 3.1.
