Personally I would like it now but that is just me being impatient.

I am concerned that if it is delayed we will be facing months of waiting before there is a proper JB for the 3G S...

That is the whole reason why they should have already released the JB. Their excuse to not releasing makes no sense and is just because they only have 1 way to JB and are afraid they will lose it too soon. They also might not even have a JB but I don't think that is the case.

I would think more then likely the 3.0 because 3.1 is only in beta for testing. So i would say safe bet 3.0.

It should have 3.0 on it... 3.1 is still in Beta and no official word on its release date.

The currently rumored release date is July 17th but no one has confirmed that.

well ive been reading alot of stuff on here but never actually posted anything and i just wanted to find out.

If 3.1 was released, then restoring would give you 3.1, unless you shift+click the restore button and choose the 3.0 FW.

Thanks for the responses. I didn't realize you end up with the latest firmware if you do a 'normal' restore so I'd better try and get these files before 3.1 is released.

Thats only if you just click on the restore button. if you shift+click, you'll have the option to choose your firmware file.
