Apple will release 3.01 soon to fix UltraSn0w.
If the JB for the 3GS is released before 3.01 then they will fix that as well. they are unlikely to release a second software update very soon so it is better to wait until 3.01 is released before releasing the JB.

Just because you haven't heard about 3.01 doesn't mean others don't know about it.

I wonder if they realize that alot of people don't purchase phones UNTIL the JB is available. They would see a spike in sales.

And why do they even care what happens with their phones after they are sold? We're the ones paying anywhere from 200 to 700 bucks on these things........

We won't always, if Apple is dedicated, they can get rid of Jailbreaking forever. They seem to be well on their way to doing just that.
