I know apple is very unpredictable and secretive, but does anyone have any idea on a 3.0.1 release? 1 months, 4 months? It hurts to wait lol… I wish apple would just stop playing the cat and mouse game, can’t they see we always get our way lol.

So it'd be better off to let dev team release the 3.0 JB/unlock for the 3gs so that at least those who have the device can get started. chances are whether we wait or not, apple will still be stubborn enough to try to thwart the dev team

I wouldn't wait for the new 3.01. If you wonnah keep ur jailbreak dont update it's that simple. What new can they put in a update when they just dropped 3.0. I haven't seen any articles about software issues or bugs in 3.0. I could be wrong though. And it would be less work for the dev team if they did wait but apple can wait too. I hate cat n mouse games.

Since the exploit is in the bootrom, Apple will have to release a new device revision to close the hole permanently, and work pretty hard to prevent exploiting it on new firmware.

Here's my thought on this game. I don't know anything about bootrom or whatever you guys are working hard to find(which u did now!). But imo dev team should just release the jb. 2 reasons: Number one, if you don't want to lose jailbreak just don't update to 3.0.1, there won't probably be any major changes anyway. Second, if apple finds out were waiting, they just won't release 3.0.1 and we'll be here stuck waiting for months. Just release the 3.0 one, and if apple brings out 3.0.1, just try finding another jb?

I completely agree, at least we will have some form of jailbreak while waiting for 3.01 to be jailbroken. Right? If they don't release the 3.0 jailbreak we're all just going to be anxious and irritable until 3.01 which probably won't occur for months (at least one anyways.)

Apple hasnt been able to stop jailbreaks for 3 years now. 3.0.1 wont be any different. It will be broken the day after and the cycle will continue.
