It seem like its a game to the Dev-Team and everyone else that is in the loop and its getting old too me. We have had a couple of threads about the jailbreak coming soon and nothing has happen yet.

The Dev Team as already plainly stated that they won't release the 3G[S] jailbreak until after the release of firmware 3.0.1 which we can expect in the next few weeks to patch ultrasn0w and lots of 3.0 bugs. It's not going to be for a while.

Dev Team Blog:

..."Apple is surely coming out with a 3.0.1 firmware release shortly. They need to fix ultrasn0w. They need to fix some UI issues. 3.0 is buggy and 3.0.1 is coming. We’re going to wait and see what 3.0.1 brings before figuring out the release date for our version of the jailbreak."

Nothing that I can report at the moment. But a lot of progress has been made

As always, the updates are much appreciated. I have only had an iphone since February this year, and then upgraded to the new 3gs (my wife got the old one, we just added another line to our family plan for the kids), so I'm not 100% familiar with all the dev teams, but I love reading about the history.

I would donate to geohotz if he accepted donations for this jailbreak. The whole jailbreaking thing is about being rebellious, and the dev-teams decision to hold off just kinda killed that thrill for me. It's not even so much the delay as the reason behind it...pretty much what @chronicdevteam said in his twitter about it.

Anyway, not knowing chronic at all, I just hope they test compatibility as well as dev-team does, and they just don't release something as soon as they have it. I want it as soon as they have it and it's tested , but I can wait to make sure everything works.
