Ok so how would we go about getting the unique ECID certification?

I understand that I need to down load the restore file through iTunes but, once that is down loaded where do I locate it on my Mac? Also, is the unique ECID certification part of the restore file?

Hi,i was just curious, if they have figured out a way to unlock the Iphone 3gs, I have a iphone 3g and since it was purchased after Jan. 1st, it has the new baseband 2.3.03 installed, and it seems like the only way to use it for another service,(Tmobile for me)is to use the rebel or other sim cards. this hasnt been too good, there terrible, so do you think with this new method for the 3gs, could it work on the 3g with updated baseband 2.3.03. thanks alot

Have you not been following anything? You can upgrade to FW3.0 and unlock it with UltraSn0w.
