The JB has been working good. Then I installed The Beatles theme. Now I don't have Winterboard & Cydia buttons. Should I enable/disable restrictions? They are not listed in SB Settings either.

Disregard my last post. Just figured it out. BTW, the JB is awesome & has been good thus far. We will see how it works over the coming days ; )

I keep getting the USB Device is not being recognized. RedSn0w is stuck on waiting for reboot mode. Dont tell me to restart my comp because i done it more than 3 times. This doesnt work on my iphone 3g ><

HELP!

I have even redownloaded redsnow.
Still getting stuck on the "Waiting for reboot"

hmmm during the uploading ramdisk stage, get windows message
"unexpected error in redsnow" & promptly shuts down.

EDIT: ok fixed, nothing a re dload of redsnow wouldn't fix.

I did the google work and people said unplug and plug the usb back. It doesnt work. Still stuck on waiting for reboot. ><
Even restarted the PC and still doesnt work.

We have the EXACT same problem.

I just want to thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread whether it was positive or negative. Because I took everything that everyone said and rolled it into one and I jailbroke my phone. I started @ 2pm left & went got my nails done, came back tried again, went to the casino and came back reread the whole thread again and it worked.

i follow all the instructions but i couldnt jailbreak my 3g, downloading jailbreak data and then an itunes logo appear. need help thank you

Im on my 10th attempt and still no luck.

Redsnow goes though all the stages and completes, but my iPhone stays on a black backlit screen with nothing happening.

yay, used redsn0w and it worked like a charm on the first try on my iPhone 3G. thanks guys!

but i have some questions..
i was curious to which apps currently fuction on the jailbroken 3.0 fw
&if its perfectly fine to update my phone with a previous backup, which contains free apps from the appstore.
sorry for the stupid questions, its been a while haha.

edit:
oh ya, another question is what are some sources to add, like the basic and the necessities

cause if i try to download an app from cydia it 'recommends' me to add in some sources.

yo captain thanks a lot bro. i restored the phone to 3.0 and use the official apple ipsw file to use with redsnow.
