Hello to all.. I have a iPhone 3GS (from ebay) that when i turn it ON i see the USB icon pointing to the web ( i guess is locked)and I just want to know what firmware version is running ( to see in i can unlock it). is there any way by just looking at the serial number???

I have downloaded redsnow and it seems to be working fine but when i go to locate the patch file the ipsw file isnt there at all.... downloaded and removed a few times to see if there was an error but doesnt seem to work.

Anyone know what im doing wrong ? thanks.

hi i have purchased iphone from a guy in india its working fine when i come to uk put any sim it shows No Service.One of my friend told me use O2 sim it will be work because O2 is official carrier on uk for iphone i tried but its not working i call O2 customer care they told me the owner reported the phone is stolen.So no uk sim will work on this iphone.But its working on other countries.Is any way to unlock.

hey guys i need some help....my friend, day before yesterday she got her iphone 3g- from US....with running firmware 3.0.0 and moderm firmware - 04.26.08.....so we tried jaibreaking and unlock it....we followed the guide everything went fine....we don't have wifi to unlock it so we tried in other method....everything went fine...i restarted my phone ....and we got our network to work for about 3 to 5 mints....only then network went for searching mode...didn't come back its only in searching mode...i have tried with many other network.....also i have re-done jailbreaking and unlok....but still it is in the searching mode...i upgraded to 3.0.1 and many time i did jailbreak and unlock....but no luck.....pl. help me in this.....i tried it in Windows xp...
