with safari on mac (instead of downloading the "slow as heck to start" firefox) you can just remove the ".zip" from the end of the file and walla! ipsw goodness!
did it and worked
3 times now.
on both firmwares

Well got a custom firmware made.

set into DFU and option+click restore.. choose it..
getting error 1600

Try switching USB ports and if that doesn't work: Uninstall and reinstall iTunes.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes?

PwnageTool quits when starts to build de custom .ipsw. I'm o a mac G5 OS 10.5.7 an itunes 8.2. Does anyone else has the same issue?

for some reasons, i can't make my own custom ipsw. pwnagetool keeps "quitting unexpectedly" ...i have a first gen iphone and a mac intel. tried to adjust the root partition size and it was of no help. i even redownload pwnagetool and the original ipsw, and it still doesn't work.

what's the solution to this, aye?
