thats becuase there is no unlock until ultrasnow is released... only jailbreak


you just have to wait until the dev team release ultra-snow...

if your having signal issues,
repwnage in expert mode, and uncheck activate phone.
i know this works for att (non iphone plan) but might work for tmob or others,
its worth a try.

im getting lots of bugs, when i use cydia, coursing crashing, weird dock behavior, and even crashed my 3g into and endless loop of the silver pineapple screen.
(fyi im using a 3g 3.0 mac osx10.5.7 att pay as you go)

Hi!
Last time I upgraded my software to 2.2.1 I had to use a powered USB hub to connect the iPhone to my Mac Air.
Is doing that still required or was that issue solved?

i have a factory unlocked iPhone and upgraded to 3.0 on the 17th, all was well then. After Pwning I lost network reception, and upon restoring back to normal 3.0 I wasn't able to activate. Retrying again in simple mode and selecting Yes to the activation through iTunes, lets see how it goes

For the guys who have a 1600 problem in windows when they custom restore in itunes that is because itunes is not allowing you to force the custom ipsw. In page 9 or 10 I did a walk through on how to get past this guys. Please i suggest you read the forums a bit to find your answer so go check page 9 or 10 in this post.

All you need is to download the custom IPSW for 3.0 FOR 3G!

How to fix 16xx- Thanks to the guys over at dev-team posts who take full credit for this find!

1. download QuickPwn RC3
2. download iphone 2.0.2 ipsw
3. Run quickpwn rc3 and do everything it says until your iphone has a white screen.
4. turn off quickpwn leave cable attached to iphone while white screen is on and turn on itunes .
5. shift click restore in itunes and pick the 3.0 jailbroken firmware :3

VOLA! should be running like a PRO!

Here it is again and since i am posting again let me explain why you are getting the 1600 error..!!!!.
Oh if you are wondering how you can get the custom ipsw. I cannot give you a link due to rules on MODMYI. But google the 3.0 custom firmware its out all over the place, Best bet is torrent sites, as for the quickpwn and iphone 2.0.2 ipsw google those too and you shall find what you need. Remember the reason for the quickpwn RC3 and the 2.0.2 is because of the forced boot loader it has it its version. It open your phone up to force the custom ipsw in itunes to load avoiding the 1600 problem!
