DON'T WORRY on pwnagetool go to expert mode and do it from there and when it asks "activate phone?" in one of the settings boxes UNCHECK IT!!! thats it!

I can as a 2G user confirm that the megaupload link posted for a custom 2G firmware works, its jailbroken and runs 100% smoothly, thanks a lot for hooking it up.

I couldn't use it in restore mode but in normal mode it worked like a charm, thanks again.

Id like 3G my phone is on a ligit carrier (o2) so I dont need it activating? also just Cydia no icy and no boot logos.

Would love if someone uploaded a custom firmware with default partition size, default apple bootlogo, only cydia installed and the "Has this iphone been pwned before" option disabled.

I'm having the same problem. It's for sure it does not work on PPC Macs. I have tried on Leopard(10.5.7) and Tiger (10.40 and it crashes. I'm sure the dev team will have an update soon. Just hang in there or if you can't wait get the custom firmware uploaded by other users.

i got error 10 yesterday...ended up being i forgot to update my iTunes to the new version 8.2..after i updated itunes the restore went perfect....dl and install the 8.2 and you should be fine.....

You are deadwrong. The custom firmware will work whether your on a PC 0r Mac. Unless someone didn't do it properly.
