Looking at both this forum and the Dev Team's site, there seems to be a common issue with PwnageTool crashing after it starts building the custom FW on PPC macs. Has anyone run into this problem and found a solution? I have tried just about everything I can think of, but it still keeps crashing.

I usually do the same myself. But until winpwn is available, you can update in any manner you wish. When you create the custom FW, you can do another restore at that time.

Did you not read? No it's not for the 3G S, 3G and 2G iPhone, and 1g and 2g iPod touch only.
