PwnageTool 3.0 Released [Mac]

The new Pwnage keeps crashing on my computer, doesnt in yours?! Is something wrong?!

I usually do the same myself. But until winpwn is available, you can update in any manner you wish. When you create the custom FW, you can do another restore at that time.

I tried the update and pwnage tool worked fine, but itunes just gave me error 1600, so I restored to 2.2.1 again. any help? ideas?

Its like Christmas again.Dev Team is awesome.
Have to wait for the Windows version also.
Seems like there are many many Windows users like me here.
I might buy a cheap nasty Mac from eBay for any future upgardes

Im on a windows computer and i tried to first use dfu mode. That gave me error 1600 but then i just did shift click restore and i havent gotten any errors yet.

Also make sure your going from a pwned firmware before using a custom firmware.

You cannot have updated to 3.0 non jb and then use a custom firmware.

I upgraded to 3.0 with the apple firmware, worked just fine for jailbreak.

just tried the custom on my 3g. it started updating then quit and gave me error 2 and booted my phone into recovery mode.

here are my initial observations after upgrading my 1st gen iphone to 3.0

it took me forever before i figured out that icy had superseded cydia. neither openssh or winterboard came up on cydia.

cydia now takes forever to do anything

once i finally got winterboard installed, all of the themes i like whether ssh'd from saved files like ielegance or downloaded direct from cydia like zunda, fit on the screen improperly. the ielegance icons showed only 1/4 of the image area and zunda downloaded via cydia had a similar but not as drastic problem.

i'm jailbreaking again to see if it makes a difference but so far i'd advise staying away from 3.0
