[PICS] Standing in Line for the iPhone 3GS

We're standing here in line at the Tampa International Plaza Apple Store. The time is 6:30AM, and you can see from the images below there's already over 50 people in line - so much for 6AM being early.

There's no WiFi available out here in the parking lot, so good ol' PdaNet is my strength when the net is weak.

The Apple store will be opening at 7AM. Of course we pre-ordered, so we should be in there with an iPhone 3GS within the hour. Our inside Apple guy tells us employees have been in the store since before 5. Keep checking this post for more pics and info as we get in the store and get the phone.

EDIT: Looks like the first guy in line got here at noon yesterday... and the second guy was 8PM yesterday. There was about a half dozen folks who actually spent the night here in Tampa.

EDIT TWO: Apple guys say the guy who got there at noon yesterday isn't even the account holder on his account - meaning he just got sent home. Niiiiiice.

Are you in line? Shoot us an email with a photo or two and we'll get it posted to this thread... or just attach it in a post yourself if you've got WiFi and a laptop.

Why not just order it on the online apple store and have it delivered today? lol, I know, I know.....probably just need to get it ASAP, I understand.

Hope its worth the wait, and am sure it will be.
Have an extra week to wait for the release here, so will be keeping a close eye on everyones thoughts.

I'm at southgate mall waiting for the fido kiosk to open .. It's 4:50 am and I'm the only person here with my lil cousin .. By the way Edmonton, Canada

I passed by my AT&T store about 30 minutes ago
and there was not a single person out there, I passed
by Lakeside Mall (I am in New Orleans by the way)
and no one was waiting there for the Apple Store to
open either. It is 5:55 am here!!!!

I just visited my nearest Rogers Location and there was no one there, im in oshawa, canada.
its 7 A.M. EST here.

That sucks for you guys. Well in a week we'll be tired of our phones and you guys will just be getting a brand new shiny device!

It sux that I won't have the money to upgrade until next week!!!
I have been looking all over my house for something worth $300
so I could go today and get it but no luck, I don't want to sell the
things I have that are worth that much.....

I guess I'm not understanding the whole "wait in line" thing this year. I have mine COMING TO ME at work. Why would you want to wait in line when you could be working? Wait a minute, that dont sound right.

I've had an iPhone for 2 years now and I am in no way, shape or form tired of it. There is no other device for me. Its true love!

there was no line in Reading,Pa for me and they didnt have any of the 16gig white 3gs's unless u preordered it like me
