I got mine in 30 minutes. No line. The only thing that slowed it down was the internet traffic on AT&T. There computers were at a crawl due to server overload.

My Iphone 3G S just arrived at my home at 10:00am in California. Too bad, I'm at work right now and won't get to see it until after 4pm

I got there at 11 A.M.
AT&T store was packed (little rock, ar)
I finally got in good place among people as i know almost all employees since im on my 5th iphone.
Got the last white 32gb.

I got mine in the mail at 1030 but it removed my mms, but other than that the phone is remarkably fast! Hopefully I can get MMS up and running again this weekend.

EDIT: Oh, and haha they were NOT that happy when they took my old 2G to transfer my contacts and saw it was jailbroken hahahaha, it was pretty amusing.

speed/quality wise yes definitely. But features wise no.Granted you and i know about all the internal specs but we both also know that the majority of people waiting in line have no idea.

I have to agree with you there. Some people just want to be the first to have the shiney new iPhone! Then they get home and open up the box and say "WTF its the same as the 3G!".

there was no line in Reading,Pa for me and they didnt have any of the 16gig white 3gs's unless u preordered it like me

they had them where i went. the att by target still had two left when i got there

Had to wait about an hour but they had plenty of 3gs phones.

I thought the lines were kinda funny. I pre-ordered and picked mine up around noon after I woke-up. The guy at at&t called me this morning and said my phone was in and to come any time to get it. Silly lines. lol I guess it could be worse though. I mean iPhone fans aren't as bad as Star Wars or Star Trek fans with the whole line-waiting thing. haha
