Yeah, well, as stated before, they are very unscientific results. However, the iPhone will have something that the Palm will never have: a huge jailbreak community that results in almost unlimited customizations/apps/improvements to any smart phone; in fact, no other smart phone out there has such a huge and skilled jailbreak community (correct me if I am wrong...)

I'm gonna say wrong (w/o any real stats, but here's why) Have you ever heard of the A-DEV forums? It's a HUGE community for any and all WM devices. They've been around years before the iPhone and have been modding and hacking HTC phones for a long time. I do believe that the iPhone community will surpass them if it hasn't done so already, since I'm a former/current member of the xda-dev site but haven't cooked a ROM since the iPhone 2G came out.

i must agree with all those who say iphone would have been better on sprints network. att sucks major now and i can truly say that after 7yrs of using ther network. only had them cuz they always have a bada*s selection of phones. i have the pre and its freaking awesome! i still love my iphone but i must say the pre makes navigating though apps/windows a beauty. btw i wouldnt be surprised that when att has there 4g running they'll add another 10buks to ur bill just like they did with the 3g...

Yup, I agree. If you look closely, I'm sure the 3G boots up before they stop the timer, you can see him fiddling with the sleep/wake button, so I think he actually put it to sleep and back on again before they stopped the timer.

Either way, that 3GS is fast! Shame I'll never have one

Well both look good to me to be honest.
I have a 3g , and my contract soon ends and have no idea what to do lol
Do i upgrade to a 3gs? not exactly much of a upgrade is it , ill be stuck with same phone as i allready got. How ever the palm will look and feel totally differant and id have both 3g iphone and palm pre.

But ive heard rumours of a new iphone next summer , dont want to be stuck with either if a new iphone comes out 6months after it lol argh what to do lol!

Rumours? Apple have said that they aim to release a new model each year so there almost certainly will be one.
I'm not that impressed with the Pre. Android might be another option but if you can wait until next June (nearer 8 than 6 months) there should be a new iPhone.
The 3GS is a definite improvement over the 3G but you won't get the new toy feel that you would if you change 0 but IMHO it is still the best thing on the market at the moment. Who knows what next year will bring though?

Ah thanks bud , think ill hold off then , only thing i like about phones like pre is the drag and drop anything and no horrible itunes but my contract ends in february actually so ill wait to see if any news of a new iphone
