Limiting channels that are available online is absurd. I guess ill stick with Pocket Tunes... it works fine.

No stern???
No stern?? Are they kidding? They're trying to promote this app by not offering satellite radio's biggest money maker??? Remember when satellite radio first started up a few years ago. You could get stern in the us but not canada? That soon changed after an overwhelming number of complaints. Plain and simple, there are different rules for howard. Isn't choice one of the driving forces behind satellite radio. You listen to what ever you want. What a shame.....

Lame.
Even if YOU don't like Howard Stern, it seems very odd that they are keeping that out, because his channels are so popular. It's on the regular web interface. though, iirc, there was some delay before they did that too because of server load worries.

I can't imagined them not putting Stern on there because they are in desperate need of new customers. My guess is that Sirius might have been told or they were afraid that Apple would reject it if Stern was available through the app...I can't think of any other explanation for them to not include his channel....too bad..

All we need now is to be able to jailbreak the OS so to put the Backgrounder app on the iPhone so the Sirius app can be active all the time. Right now it does not have background playability by itself.

I have a subscription and don't pay for the online stream. Maybe it is because mine is a lifetime?
I use pockettunes as well. I think the reason that they aren't throwing out the Howard Stern bone here is because when they signed him they were hoping he would bring a gazillion listeners with him. It didn't happen. This is a way to possibly get people interested in the subscription services. Or Apple told them not to allow him due to their weird approval process.Last edited by CaptainChaos; 06-18-2009 at 09:03 PM.

There are other channels missing as well such as MLB play by play and the nfl games will not be there as well when football season hits. I think its a licensing thing with howard and the sports stuff

No, you can only log into one acct on one device at a time...if you are on the computer listening then you will get a message when trying to log into your iPhone saying "You are logged in elsewhere". Don't believe me? Try it. It's better than giving false info to people that are asking.
