just out of curiosity,
why doesnt someone just log into their at&t account to see if there is any extra charges.
(the at&t online accounts are usually pretty up to date..)

Don't know if it's relevant here, but I was having problems with Visual Voicemail after applying one of these carrier profiles. Turned out, the profile wacked my visual voicemail APN, which is actually different than the Cellular Data or MMS APN. For AT&T, change that APN to acds.voicemail with a blank username and password, and you'll restore your visual voicemail.
Hope this helps someone.

I don't even want to risk it because I am not the bill payer. 02 could also make you pay more money because its not legit.

Works very well, sweet. But how long until AT&T finds out! It's super easy too.

as of right now (11:36pm, Thursday June 18,2009 - day AFTER 3.0 released) it says "To enable tethering on this account, contact AT&T". I hit OK, then switched it to on, and it works.

I am shocked that this works. (I am very happy that it does. Thank you!) AT&T can bite me for charging me an extra $30 for this. I already pay an extra $20 for unlimited data just because I have an IPhone.

U r lucky to ONLY pay $20/mo unlimited data for iPhone. We pay $30/mo. Glad my post helped. I'll have to see if I rack up any additional chgs.

I pay $30 too. I was just saying +$20 because it is $10 for unlimited data for any other phones (maybe not BB (I don't know for sure))

According to this UK article benm.at actually hacks ATT's tethering to give it to you for free. Please read the article. I guess all you have to do to get tethering for free is unlock it. Which is what we did!
