Easily Enable Tethering on 3.0 via iPhone Safari!

Download worked great. Havn't actually tried it because I'm worried about charges one interesting thing though.

It creates a 'profile' in your General > Network > Profile > USA Profile(or something like that)

I got paranoid. So i went to General > Reset > Reset Network Settings

It did its thing, and when it came back. I still had the Tether Off/On switch, but no Profile.

It says on your profile, that you have a 2G iPhone. As mentioned MANY times now, it doesn't work on a 2G iPhone, only 3G.

here is your guide.....

alter the phone so you can have the tether option.

turn on the tether option on the iphone.

plug your freaking iphone into the PC.

if you do not get a new network adapter, then you are SOL.

Yes it does, I just tried it on an employees computer here at work who has itunes installed and it installed the modem and tethering worked great!

I really wonder, when they do roll our Tethering, will we still get it for free?

According to apples website, if you do not have itunes installed tethering will NOT work.

I currently use less thatn 500mbs per month with the iphones web. And about 1gb a day on my desktop. An extra $30 sounds steep, but its what everyone else pays.

They wouldn't invest so much effort in setting up a new APN etc, if they weren't planning on setting up a new charging structure for it.

I'm not a MAC user, but I've read on the forums that there is a problem with newer macs and the built-in bluetooth. Older macs work though, and newer ones with an external BT adapter. I suspect its to do with the drivers on the new mac and the bluetooth stack.

Pc users:
this I how easy it is.....
Enable tethering, plug into USB port, wait for it to finish installing the already built in driver. Done.
Took me about 35 seconds and I got 1.25 down and .33 up
