Ok, I was able to fix this issue... to let everyone or anyone who ever run into this issue... if you have PDANET installed on your iphone even after upgrading to 3.0, verify that the router is off, because that was actually giving my phone a 169.254.x.x ip address instead of one from the phone itself in which should turn to a 192.168.x.x . So just becarefull of that due to this had me working my brain for almost 2 nights now on what was wrong.
P.S. I actually repost to this using the tethering from the iphone... I also notice that the phone will keep you connected in sleep mode as well. I notice with pdanet, after a while in sleep mode you will loose connection and charging... was worthless cause it still eats away at your battery life very fast. Compared to the iPhone... I notice tethering this way it's actually charging the phone and not eating it away, but I will keep my eye on it and update due to that phone is halfway charged at the moment.
Minitrk, I notice you said you are able to get mms working, are you able to send mms messages? The reason I ask this is because I also installed the ippc file using itunes, I'm able to see the cellular data network and also edit it, but not sure what is suppose to be the correct settings, cause I'm unable to send mms messages. Any info on your data or help with be greatly appreciated or anyone else in this case...
