if you don't know what you are doing then the common sense approach would be to read all the instructions and the NOT UPDATE UR PHONE UNTIL YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY SURE WHAT YOU ARE DOING!! WHICH WILL BE WHEN THE DEVS RELEASE THEIR TOOLS AND THEIR IS A GUIDE UP! And lastly DO NOT tell other people what to do or not do especially when you have no idea!

If you would read something other than the first post, jump right into your phone with not a clue what you are doing, and then cry to us to help you fix something YOU did while we all are saying to WAIT! you would understand.

my iphone works great and will continue to because i have the mental ability to follow directions and listen to others mistakes instead of thinkin i am sooooo smart and bricking my phone.

so enjoy your ipod touch until friday.

I could get used to being back in jail

My stock 3.0 install is sooo much smoother than it was when it was jailbroken. Such a shame, I keep forgetting I don't have SBSettings, I miss it already!

So who's liking 3.0 so far? I can't beleive that I still can't get onto the app store. Apple are taking a beating, hopefully it will knock sense into them!

Too many noobs don't read, I never posted when I was a noob back in Jan 08 lol. Four months later I started posting!

I'll get new iPhone or MacBook on friday so I really can't be bothered upgrading my 2G. Besides I got sooo much pressure because of exams, I forgot all about 3.0, I've been recently obsessed with trying to find a cheap MacBook Pro, no luck so far

Where exactly are you getting your information? I never once told anyone here to do anything. I merely explained my personal experience in upgrading my phone. I don't believe anyone on this site is really following this mysterious lead you've convinced youself that I must be creating. None of my posts have been about making or influencing anyone to do anything, simple a relay of what I've done on my own which I'm more than entitled to do.

Furthermore, jailbreaking my phone is nothing more than an added feature for me. I'm fine with my phone being "unjailbroken" and can wait until Friday or whenever the jailbreaking software is released. Unlike some people here, I'm not scratching my eyes out because I don't have my Cycorder or MakeItMine. I'm perfectly fine so far with the way things are.

I know your upset now. Just relax son.
