I noticed musclenerd said the phone he was using was jailbroken and he mentioned Cydia ? Does this mean we can now jailbreak 3.0 as well and use all the apps we use now on 2.2.1 ??

The jailbreak tools will be released shortly after FW3.0 is.
Provided the apps are 3.0 compatible you can use them.

i saw a cydia icon on the iphone he was using. so it's probably already jailbroken but just isnt being released yet

i asked that on another thread. why are they the exact same build number?
how do they differ?
my firmware on my phone says 7A341
the firmware being released sometime today is exact same, no?

so i'll ask again, should i bin this and restore to the "official" one??

i hope i'm not sounding stupid, but once i have the official release today won't i have 2 identical sets of firmware on my comp?

how will pwnage know which one is which when i go to JB?
OR, how will i know because i'll be choosing the firmware at the launch of the pwnage tool!
can anyone see my point here?

i know i can just place my old firmware somewhere else or just rename it, but why do i have to go through all the crap of restoring to the official one?

Wait till the devs iron out ALL the kinks. There could b issues with sim cards like last time.

This is the EXACT same unlock as yellowsn0w... just through a different hole. They took care of all the issues and kinks.

Apple most likely opens for business at 9am PT which is 2 hours from now. In case there are any disasters it's always good to have people present in the office to jump on it!
