Apple are not only including video and compass in the 3G because of "Hardware Limitations" it's because they've not brought out an appealing phone for existing 3G users to upgrade to and want people to believe that so they buy their overpriced 3GS. What they have done will just see more people jailbreak their phone for cycorder etc.

wait what will happen if i restore my iPhone 3G with the iPhone 3G S firmware?

Will i get the 3G S features? or will it screw up my phone?

Have you tried WinMo 6.5 on your iPhone yet? Or Symbian?

You would have about as much luck....
