No, it means your 3G iPhone with 3.0 will be unlockable, which is better.

It wont matter what bootloader you have! 3.0 unlocking for everyone!

sounds like good news all around....especially since i just got my phone out of an ATT store last friday and ive kept it locked down and stayed patient
