They are still tied to AT&T. The purpose is to get a new phone at the discount price ($199 or $299)if you are not eligible for an upgrade. Fedex is here as I type. Another board members just did it, so Apple has not caught on yet!

I'd be paying 545.516SGD all in all even if I order the phone at 299USD unsubsidized. Plus I'd be using a shipping freight, so I'd have Apple send it to vPost USA which would receive the package for me and then ship it over to Singapore. Problem is, would I have to pay anything else if I have it ship into Singapore?
And, are there unlocks and jailbreaks officially released yet for 3.0?

There's no jailbreak or unlocks for the new iPhone 3G S. Only for all the other models have jailbreak and unlocks except no unlock for the iPhone 3G 3.0...yet

after more than a week we can safely say that this is still working and apple hasn't done anything to stop it (knock on wood), but the new "problem" is trying to get the iPhone 3G S at a subsidized price, but still being unsubsidized

Yo, How the **** do you get it for that price....Stop Bullshittin unless you can show me a receipt and it is not for a special upgrade price than i don't believe you get it for that price. . Even if you want to show me for spite and rub it in my face go ahead and do it. Bc i can't get it for less than 32 gb at $699 and i still ordered 3 of them......i mean i will return it if i can't sell it but give me the $299 price if i can.....
